Proud suppliers for ground-breaking project

Dana Tank A/S is proud to play an active role in the green transition as a supplier to Ineos’ groundbreaking Greensand project – a project that marks a major step forward in CO₂ storage and climate neutral technology.

As part of the project, we are responsible for developing and delivering advanced, custom-designed pump and tank solutions to ensure safe, stable and efficient handling of liquid CO₂. These solutions make it possible to transport CO₂ from biogas plants to underground storage in the Danish part of the North Sea – a process that contributes directly to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The installation of our solutions will take place both at the port of Esbjerg, where the CO₂ is loaded and unloaded, and on board a custom-built ship designed specifically for the transportation of CO₂. This places high demands on design, functionality and reliability – demands we meet through solid engineering expertise and many years of experience in tank and pump technology.

We are currently in the crucial design phase where we are working closely with relevant partners and authorities. In the coming weeks, we expect to receive 3rd party approval, which will mark an important milestone in the project process.

The Greensand project represents one of the first real opportunities for large-scale carbon storage in Europe, and we are proud to contribute both know-how and technological solutions that support a more sustainable and climate-friendly society.
